Dr. Wafa Saoud, completed her PhD in Clinical-Developmental Psychology at York University in Toronto, Ontario. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and parents on issues related to mood, anxiety, emotion dysregulation, disruptive behaviour, attention difficulties, substance use, and trauma. She places strong emphasis on developing collaborative relationships with her clients. She endeavors to provide a safe, open, and non-judgemental environment in which children, youth, and parents can experience personal growth. She has developed assessment and intervention expertise in the areas of learning, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, low mood, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), trauma, and complex mental health concerns.
Her approach is integrative, drawing from several evidence-based modalities including attachment-based, cognitive-behavioural, dialectical behavioural, and behaviour modification psychotherapies. Wafa completed training in multiple settings, including the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and the Child and Adolescent Psychology centre (The Cap Centre).
