I earned my M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from Acadia University in 2001 and have been
practicing for over 20 years, having worked in both the public and private sectors. I offer
assessment, treatment, and consultation services.
I see clients who present with a range of issues, such as self-esteem problems, depression,
anxiety, relationship issues, life stressors, and trauma. PTSD and dissociative disorders are
areas of special interest, and I have over 15 years of extensive training and experience in
treating and assessing complex trauma-related disorders. I often work with first responders
who have had repeated trauma exposures.
My style is collaborative with treatment paced according to the needs of each client. I draw
upon Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Deep Brain
Reorienting (DBR) Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), aspects of psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, and the Theory of
Structural Dissociation of the Personality (TSDP).
As a provider for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), I conduct disability assessments for veterans
and law enforcement officers, assessing functional impairment due to operational stress and
injury.
As an EMDR-Approved Consultant, I offer consultation services to clinicians within the clinical
area of complex trauma and dissociation. Consultation services vary based on the needs of the
clinician, ranging from a one-time meeting for peer supervision or to monthly meetings for
EMDR certification.
